Lisa is a licensed Professional Counselor with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Concordia University Chicago. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages and has experience working in the school system, including students from kindergarten to college. She most recently worked at Northwestern Medicine in their adult partial hospital program (PHP) as well as their intense outpatient program (IOP).
Lisa’s therapeutic approach focuses on the relationship between client and therapist. She listens with intention to hear each client’s experience. Lisa provides room to process, deepen self-understanding, and gently explore areas for growth. It is her belief that all of our internal experiences are there for a reason. With a little bit of bravery, openness, and gentle curiosity, Lisa believes we can learn how to understand our internal experiences, which may build a sense of self-compassion, integration, and safety. She hopes that each client will find therapy as a means to enable them to grow and pursue a meaningful life.
In the therapeutic setting, Lisa uses a wide variety of treatment modalities. These include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy-CBT, Solutions Based Brief Therapy, Reality Therapy, ACT, Mindfulness, Integrative Therapies, Play Therapy, as well as others.
