She, her, hers
Lana is passionate about helping individuals navigate through life’s difficulties, transitions, and working collaboratively to discover more healing, peace, purpose, happiness, and empowerment. Many individuals can begin their therapy journey feeling overwhelmed with emotions, stuck, feeling frustrated, and could be experiencing anxiety, grieving, having interpersonal relationship struggles, and using ineffective coping skills. Lana believes that therapy can be a place of hope and possibility, by providing a safe, and supportive therapeutic space.
Lana’s goal is to help clients learn to cope with life’s challenges in healthy ways, make healthy decisions, and to gain a better understanding of themselves. Lana believes that by taking a holistic approach, the individual can be more self-aware and continue their journey of growth and healing.
Lana has experience working with individuals on anxiety, self-esteem, depression, life transitions, trauma, and interpersonal relationship issues. Lana enjoys working with adolescents, adults, and couples. Lana uses an integrative approach to counseling that includes but is not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Client Centered Therapy, Motivational Therapy, Expressive Arts, and Mindfulness-based stress reduction. Lana is EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy) trained through The EMDR Institute and is currently accepting clients seeking EMDR therapy.
Lana earned her Master’s degree in Counseling and School Counseling from Concordia University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from DePaul University.
For her self- care, Lana enjoys spending time in nature, drawing, reading, movement activities (yoga, weight-lifting, walking), and spending time with loved ones including her furry pets.
